Sophie Frost (b 1993) is the founder, maker, and creator of “Dea Domus”. A multi-disciplinary artist specialising in; ceramics, sculpture, and furniture, whilst working through the boundaries of fine art, design & craft.  

Sophie’s visual language evolved and was explored through her formal fine art training at the Slade School of Fine Art and studio pottery apprenticeship in the South Coast of England. Dea Clay was founded in 2019 which has now evolved into Dea Domus.

Aiming to blur the boundaries between form and function. Creating one off pieces by hand in ceramics and wood Dea Domus pieces are often emulated from drawings and the artists visual language of shape and mark making. With focus on wheel throwing she aims to use the process to highlight its context with in the history of Craft, Fine Art and Design. Tables, lighting and sculptural vessels, Dea Domus pieces are now exclusively with galleries Wondering People, Modern Art Hire, Select Works & Partnership Editions.
